PORT-AU-PRINCE — Four people, including two police officers, were shot and killed on the afternoon of Jan. 10 in the Carrefour-Feuilles neighborhood.
The slain officers, Denis Dampsey and Jean Daddy Previlus, are the first killed in the line duty so far in 2023, according to the police union. Dampsey and Previlus, respectively, were from the 27th and 31st classes of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).
"The National Police of Haiti continues to count casualties in its ranks," said Lionel Lazare, communications manager of the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA).
